Missing three starters due to scheduling conflicts and forced to play a new formation because of a depleted bench, the girls struggled in the first half as the Judges dominated possession of the ball and mounted wave after wave of scoring chances.  It took just over 10 minutes for the Judges to score and take the early lead.  Handley continued to apply the pressure for the remainder of the half but were unable to convert another chance in part because of solid defending from center back Elizabeth Liebel, right back Gaby Tirado, and left backs Maggie Gabany and TZ Slaton, and in part because an outstanding effort in goal from goalkeeper Caroline Liebel who recorded 16 saves on the day.

The Falcons picked up the intensity in the second half and began to slowly mount some scoring chances of their own.  The breakthrough came with only 12:45 remaining in the game when Mackenzie Cahoon delivered a quality corner kick into the box.  After a couple of deflections Caity Ashley controlled the ball and set it up for Natalie Bennett who put it in the back of the net to tie the game at 1-1. The game was tied at the end of regulation forcing two 5 minute overtime periods.  The Judges created a couple of good scoring chances in the overtime periods, but as the clock wound down the game was still tied.  The game winner came when Emelie Boucher passed the ball into the box and striker Cassidy Wagoner got a touch on the ball just before the Handley goalkeeper slid in to make the save.  The ball deflected off the keeper to the left side of the goal and left winger Sierra Kroencke ran in and slid the ball in to the right side netting of the goal for the game winner with only 10 seconds remaining in the second overtime.
