Recap:  Culpeper started fast and dominated the game early, but the Falcons slowly gained control and enjoyed the majority of possession over the last 25 minutes of the first half.  Culpeper got a break early in the second half when a player was fouled just outside the 18 yard box.  Culpeper senior Brooke Malloy took the free kick and hit a beautiful strike giving FHS goalkeeper Marina Munday no chance and staking the Devilettes to a 1-0 lead.  The Falcons pressured for the equalizer throughout the second half, finally breaking through when freshman Mia Barreda received a pass in the center of the field about 25 yards from goal, managed to get past Culpeper's 1st team All-district and 2nd Team Region 1 center back Tiffany Yowell and slid a 10 yard shot low into the right corner on the net beating Culpeper's outstanding sophomore goalkeeper Quinn-Lynn Bates.  Fauquier continued pressing for the game winner through the end of regulation and carved out some excellent scoring chances in overtime before settling for the 1-1 tie in a very well played game between the two traditional rivals.
