In a close and competitive contest, the girls finally broke through with almost 27 minutes gone in the first half when Megan Dietich hit an excellent strike from the right side of the 18-yard box.  The keeper made the save but was unable to hold the ball, which spilled over to the left side of the goal.  Sierra Kroencke swept in from the left side and was able to get off the shot just before the Cyclone's keeper was able to recover giving the Falcons a 1-0 lead.  The Falcons struck again just over 25 minutes into the second half when midfielder Mia Barreda created a yard of space and launched a perfect shot from 35 yards out that went just over the hands of the outstretched goalkeeper for a 2-0 advantage.  The 2 goal lead was very short lived as the Cyclones scored less than two minutes later.  Goalkeeper Caroline Liebel made the initial save but was unable to catch the ball cleanly.  A hustling Eastern View striker slid in and put in the shot just as Caroline arrived to try and secure the save.  The Cyclones fought hard for the equalizer but the girls held on for a hard fought 2-1 win.
