The girls started well with a couple of early scoring chances, but after that Chancellor took over the first half. The Chargers dominated possession and capitalized on mistakes for much of the first half in route to two first half goals.

The girls responded well and played a terrific second half. Megan Enos had a shot hit the crossbar in the opening minute and it was game on.  Just over 10 minutes into the second half center midfielder Natalie Bennett played a spectacular through ball to Megan.  Megan dribbled past the Charger's goalkeeper and buried the shot to close the gap to 2-1.  The girls continued to apply pressure and with 20 minutes remaining in the half won a free kick from 35 yards out.  Megan Dietrich took the kick and placed it into the path of Cassidy Wagoner just outside the 6 yard box.  A desperation clearance attempt by a Charger defender hit the bottom of the crossbar but bounced out and the Chargers were able to clear their lines.  Chancellor had a break away opportunity with five minutes remaining but the shot was hit high above the crossbar.  Megan Enos had one final scoring chance with a minute remaining but the Charger's goalkeeper, who had several outstanding saves, came out of the 18 yard box and got to the ball just as Megan arrived making a vital, game winning save.
