The girls faced a Liberty team that was suffering from injuries and was playing their third game in four days, while the team was finally rested after playing 6 games in 11 days the preceding two weeks. As expected, the Liberty girls played a spirited and completive match under very difficult circumstances and the score was 0-0 at halftime.
The Falcons finally broke though just over 15 minutes into the second half when Madeleine Hayes received the ball on the left flank and drove into the center of the field. She found Sedona Bisek on just inside the 18 yard box, and Sedona placed the shot into the left hand corner of the net to give the team a 1-0 lead. The second goal came when midfielder Rebekah Sullivan, returning to action after two weeks out with a concussion, threw the ball into Sedona with just under 13 minutes remaining. Sedona was able to turn and get off a shot the resulted in a the final goal when the Eagles goalkeeper couldn't pick up the flight of the ball because of players running across her path.
The Eagle put in a very competitive performance under very difficult circumstances, a huge credit to their coaching staff and their players.
