We are revising the team dinner schedule after Spring Break so that more of the girls can attend.  All of the dinners were scheduled for Thursday, creating some club practice conflicts.  The new dates are:

Team dinners begin at 4:45 in the old cafeteria and are typically over by 5:45.

We have scheduled a fundraising car wash for girls soccer on May 10 from 9:00-3:00 at Blue Ridge Orthopedic on Shirley Avenue.  Last year's car wash raised almost $1200!  This money is used to pay for practice time at the Athey field complex and to purchase equipment for our girls soccer program.  We need full participation from the varsity and junior varsity players in order to achieve the last year's level of success!  The girls will tell you you that they are more than happy to raise the money for the privilege of practicing at Athey.  We are looking to add a date for a second car wash to raise money for training gear.  Please keep checking the website for updates.  For pictures and information on last year's car wash please check out the team news tab under Girls Varsity Soccer, 2013 Season.

Teresa Kroencke has volunteered to coordinate the dinners.  Three of the team dinners will be hosted by the parents of the sophomores and seniors and three will be hosted by the parents of the junior class.  Please volunteer to help Teresa make these dinners a great team building experience for the girls!  Please note that the schedule is subject to change due to game rescheduling.  Updates will be provided if team dinners are rescheduled or canceled due to changes in the game schedule.

Meet the coaches night has been rescheduled for Wednesday, March 12 at 7:00.  Activities Director Mark Holmes will be speaking to the parents of all the spring sports athletes in the new gym, then we will go to another part of the school for a girls soccer meeting.

Tryouts will be held starting Monday, February 24 from 3:00-5:00 and will conclude no later than Thursday, February 27.  Final rosters for both the JV and Varsity teams will be posted on the last day of tryouts.  Every effort will be made to conduct tryouts outdoors at our on campus practice field, but weather conditions may dictate that tryouts be conducted in one of the gyms.  Announcements will be made in advance so that the girls know location of tryouts each day.  If you have any questions regarding tryouts please contact coach Ashley at raccashley@msn.com.
